Call for Letter of Intent – Integrated Crop Agronomy Cluster

Funding organizations from across Canada are participating in the development of a national Integrated Crop Agronomy Cluster for submission to the next federal Agriculture Policy Framework (APF), the successor to the current Growing Forward 2 programming.

The research priorities of the Funding Organizations and the process for submission are included in the attached documents:

Aster yellow disease in spring wheat – a benchmark characterization and cultivar assessment

This project aims to address these gaps, by studying the expression of AY symptom in wheat using bioassays and leafhopper colonies recently developed to study the disease in canola. As well, several rapid molecular techniques were developed and are now routinely used to detect and identify AY strains in plant and insects.
