Crop Diagnostic School

  • Swift Current, SK Canada (map)

The 2022 Crop Diagnostic School will be a one-day, hands-on learning opportunity to examine plants, dig in the soil, pull weeds, identify insects and hone your diagnostic skills. This year there will be one location with a choice of two dates. Each day will offer the same exercises and demonstrations.

Details:

When: Tuesday, July 26 or Wednesday, July 27, 2022 (registration is for one day only) 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Registration begins at 8 a.m.)

Cost: $100 per person (includes lunch)

Location: Swift Current, Sask. Off-farm site of Wheatland Conservation Area. From #4 highway head 2 miles east on airport road, then 1/4 mile south at a field approach. There will be signs for the school so no one misses the entrance, and someone will coordinate parking upon arrival.

The event will be hosted by Wheatland Conservation Area (WCA). While sweep nets will not be pre-sold at the event this year, you can purchase one directly from Pro Metal in Regina. Attendees should come prepared for weather (bring rain gear, rubber boots, sunscreen, hat, etc.) as the event will happen rain or shine. To reduce the spread of clubroot, we will have boot covers available. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are pending for Certified Crop Advisers.

Sask Wheat is a proud sponsor of Crop Diagnostic School!
